Where do I go on your web site to find homes or commercial properties in my area?
We have a main feature found on the homepage of Harmon Homes .com called Browse Listings. Also in the left-hand navigation menu there is a link to the Browse Listings page. These two options will give you the opportunity to select a state and localized areas to search for homes and properties. For more information, please check out the "Browse" section on this Help Page.

Does your web site offer any free services for home listings to be advertised?
Yes, we do! Harmon Homes .com offers an agent the chance to place your listings online for free through our Agents: List a Home feature. This feature allows agents to place a listing online with a description of the home, location, pricing and contact information. This feature is also password protected for your security.

How can I best advertise my home and property listings on Harmon Homes .com?
There are two ways to optimize your home listings and/or your or your office's online presence. First, you can enhance any listings for a small fee depending on the enhancements when you take advantage of our "Agents: List a Home" feature. But for optimal performance on Harmon Homes .com, the Online Brochure by far surpasses any other advertising tool found on the World Wide Web today! With the Online Brochure you have the opportunity to manage your online home listings 24 hours a day, and you can feature an agent page, an office page, and pages with contact and office directions for your potential clients to view. Visit the Online Brochure Demo Page by selecting the Demo link on the lower left-hand portion of the navigation menu under the headline “Online Brochure.”

How do I find a real estate agent or company on your web site?
We have a feature found on the homepage of Harmon Homes .com called Agent/Office Search. Also in the left-hand navigation menu there is a link to the Agent/Office Search Page. You can search for agents and real estate offices by filling in the form several different ways: city, area codes, state, company name, and first or last name of the agent.

What is a cookie?
A cookie is information that a website puts on to a users computer so that it can remember something about that user at a later time. Usually this information is nothing more than preferences and/or settings. Some types of cookies are used to track pages that a user has visited so that information can be customized to the user in some way.

What is Cache?
A cache (pronounced cash) is a place to store something temporarily. When a web page is brought up in a browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape, the information from the page is placed into a cache directory on the users computer. This way, when the user returns to the page, the browser can pull information from the cache file saving the time that it takes to download the page.

Note: The cache file in Microsoft Internet Explorer is called Temporary Internet Files.

  • Select Internet Options
  • Click on the Security tab
  • Click on the Custom Level button
  • Scroll down until the Cookies heading is on the screen
  • Select "Enable" for both sub headings
  • Click OK

How do I activate Cookies in Internet Explorer 6.0?
  • Click on the Tools menu
  • Select Internet Options
  • Click on the Privacy Tab
  • Click on the Advanced button
  • Check Override Automatic Cookie Handling
  • Click Accept under First Party Cookies and Third Party Cookies
  • Click OK
Note: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 is automatically configured to handle cookies. No settings should need to be changed.

  • Select Preferences
  • Click on Advanced in the left hand column
  • Click on Accept all cookies
  • Click OK

    • CLEAR CACHE FIRST! Do not close the Internet Options window!
    • Click on the Settings button
    • Click on the View Files button (A new window will appear)
    • Click on the Edit menu in the new window
    • Click on Select All (or press Ctrl A)
    • Press the delete key on the keyboard
    • Close the window
    • Click OK

In Netscape Communicator, this is referred to as the reload button. In Internet Explorer, this button is referred to as the refresh button. To refresh or reload your browser screen, simply click on this button.
