POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - Three upscale real estate advertising publications serving Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties have just finished a near two-year-long revitalization process.
Distinctive Homes of South Florida, Distinctive Homes of Miami and The Beaches, and Distinctive Homes of The Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast now have fresh leadership and revamped offerings and policies that will reshape the brand in the South Florida real estate market and better serve the publications' advertisers and consumers.
Distinctive Homes is maintained nationally by real estate magazine publisher Harmon Media Group. The brand was previously controlled by another franchise until it was acquired by Harmon Media Group in September of 2003. However, major changes in the South Florida publications did not really occur until last summer.
In July of 2004, the publications were incorporated into Harmon Media Group's Central Division under the direction of Divisional Vice President Karen Hough. She served as both DVP and General Sales Manager of the books until this May when Tim Congdon was appointed to the GSM position. In June, Congdon hired Renee McKee, Stephanie Bosco and Nelson Ornellas to serve as the publications' Area Sales Managers. Together, the team works to serve the needs of South Florida's upscale real estate market.
With strong management and the support of Harmon Media Group, the South Florida Distinctive Homes publications now offer their advertisers a full range of value-added services and benefits that were unavailable under the old franchise. Real estate professionals who advertise in the books receive Internet exposure for their listings on Harmon Media Group's central website HarmonHomes.com. All three publications are available on eBooks , Harmon Media Group's online digital real estate publication service. Consumers from all over the country can subscribe to the interactive books online at no charge, and are alerted by email when new editions of the specific magazine they select become available. The books' pricing and printing systems have also been updated and streamlined to ensure effectiveness and consistent quality.
"We are just so excited about the changes that have taken place with our brand in this region," says Hough. "We want to make local real estate professionals and consumers aware of the drastic improvements that we've made in the quality of the publications. With the additions of the new services and features, we are more prepared to serve them than ever. We want to show them what we've got."
Distinctive Homes of South Florida, Distinctive Homes of Miami and The Beaches, and Distinctive Homes of The Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast are upscale real estate advertising publications serving Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. They target a luxury-oriented clientele by listing only homes that are 1.8 or more times the median price in that market.
